Student Welfare
International and Local Students
We realise that it can be daunting to be an international student, living away from your family and home country, which is why we try to make your time in London as comfortable and rewarding as possible.
If you’re a local student, we understand that you have different requirements and support needs. Many of our English language students live locally and work in full-time jobs, so we appreciate that people have busy schedules and a lot to do besides studying with us.
Community Means Communication
We want all our students to feel at home here at KKCL. If there is an issue that you would like us to help you with, you are welcome to talk to our Welfare Officer or see a member of our multilingual staff using our drop-in service.
All students new to the college are given a comprehensive induction which covers health and safety and student welfare policies along with a tour of the facilities.
Equal Opportunities
We are committed to equal opportunities and wish to maintain a friendly community spirit within the college. It is the College’s policy to ensure students are treated in the same way, regardless of their sex, marital status, age, race, colour, nationality, religion, ethnic origins, disabilities, gender re-assignment or sexual orientation.
Online Support
As of 2012 our college has an online learning and support system where students can contact staff and receive email updates on important announcements and events.
Social Calendar
We have a monthly social calendar, published on our website and as a leaflet, outlining things to see and do in London and the local area, along with outings organised by the college itself. We also have special parties and workshops.
Student Facilities
We have a new canteen serving food and drinks, a lounge area, self-study facilities and an IT lab with new computers.
We can help you with…

- Finding work (where to look for jobs, working rights etc.)
- Using local libraries or buying/ordering books
