Working With Us
Working with KKCL English is a truly rewarding experience with endless opportunities for personal and professional development. As one of the UK’s most innovative language schools, your decision to work within our company means you’ll have access to a genuinely exciting place of work, abundant with cultural learning, geographic and historical discovery, roleplay, activity leading, tours, media production, camera skills, presenting and acting, and music studios, to name but a few.
We are currently hiring English language teachers and Activity Leaders.
We consistently receive extremely positive and fond feedback from employees, both seasonal, part-time and permanent. Hiring the right staff for our company means ensuring that you are able to make the most out of working with us, and so the career development and motivation of our staff is essential. After, all working with a company is a reciprocal relationship, and it is paramount that you benefit from your work as much as KKCL does.
Teaching English as a foreign language is inextricably the core of our services, and we pride ourselves on hiring the best of the best in terms of experience, skills and personal qualities. Ensuring our students get the absolute most out of their time with us, we want teachers who truly care about improving people’s levels of English. As a key goal, this naturally involves creating a positive, caring and respectful relationship with your pupils, who see you as their leader in terms of reaching more advanced levels of fluency.
You will undoubtedly need a certain level of expertise where the English language is concerned, but perhaps more importantly have a desire to encourage improvements in speaking, listening, reading and writing from your students, who are here for the primary purpose of improving.
Turning to our Activity Leaders, we are looking for committed individuals with a strong sense of initiative and get-up-and-go. This does not necessarily mean we require you to be fully trained in health and safety legislation and safeguarding provisions (although naturally this would be a bonus…), as we offer full and comprehensive training within our company in terms of safety procedures and geographical areas. Safe to say that you will know London like the back of your hand in a very short time.
What it does mean is that we seek individuals who have a strong sense of adaptability, leadership propensity and high levels of energy (some of our excursions include quite a bit of walking).
You can rest assured that you will be in safe hands when you choose to accept an offer of employment with us; the relationships that KKCL colleagues have with one another are always treasured, and often blossom into lifelong friendships, whether social or professional.
So, what do we expect from our staff in terms of language abilities? Of course, as a language school, the overarching goal of our business is to promote linguistic development, With this in mind, being a speaker of multiple languages will naturally be of advantage. For example, French, Italian, Russian, Chinese, Portuguese, Croatian, German and Romanian (among many others) are all highly useful to us.
Uniting students from all different cultures and backgrounds is one of our primary goals, and as an activity leader, you will be directly helping this goal to be reached.
If you are a committed, energetic, adaptable, enthusiastic and creative who thrives working with different cultures and languages, we would love to welcome you into the KKCL team. You will be a key player in the KKCL mission, exploring peoples and places and gaining indisputable career skills.
